Step into a thought-provoking exhibition curated by the Committee of Incarcerated Writers and Artists (CIAW), where history meets the pressing issue of justice. This unique showcase features presidential portraits, each paired with a president’s record on incarceration, inviting viewers to reflect on the past and its implications for the future. Spearheaded by Caddell Kivett, an editor at Nash News and a current resident of Nash Correctional Institution in North Carolina, this project transcends traditional art displays. It’s a powerful platform for personal essays and creative visions that challenge us to reimagine what true justice could look like.
